Patriots of the Month-august – Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution

The Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution (MSSDAR) proudly recognizes our active-duty military servicemen and women, living American veterans, the National Guard, and the Reserves.

Through the Patriot of the Month program, initiated by Honorary State Regent, Sally Napier Bueno, in 2004, Missouri Daughters may nominate their personal “heroes” — those men and women who have contributed to preserving and protecting the freedom and values of our American way of life.

We continue to receive an overwhelming response to the Patriot of the Month program, and we are excited to recognize our special Patriots on this website.

Patriots honored each month receive a letter and certificate of appreciation from the DAR Service for Veterans state chair and the state regent.

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) also honor and support veterans through monetary donations and volunteer service to state veterans’ homes and Veterans Administration (VA) medical centers, as well as national programs.
