The Lights of Love Program brings honor and recognition to our heroes, the men and women who sacrificed for our country and those who continue to defend our country, protecting our safety and freedom. These are our veterans and first responders (past and present) from any military branch or era, and our active-duty military. Each year, Missouri Daughters sponsor their heroes, in honor or in remembrance, for the “tree of love,” accompanying each submission with a $5 love donation. Each light on the tree represents the life and light of a hero, shared by a Missouri Daughter. During the annual tree lighting program, the Lights of Love tree is ceremoniously illuminated on the front lawn of Roslyn Heights, historic home and headquarters of the Missouri State Society, and shines brightly throughout the holiday season on Main Street in Boonville, Missouri.
This program, established in 2004, has raised over $100,000 and has honored over 20,000 heroes. The funds have been donated to numerous veteran’s organizations across Missouri.
