The Troy Chapter, NSDAR, and the City of Elsberry worked together to adorn downtown Elsberry with Veteran Banners this summer. The effort was to highlight America's 250th birthday and thank our community's veterans for their patriotic service to our country. Families and friends had the opportunity to financially sponsor a banner for their loved ones so there was no cost to the city.
According to city hall, there were 47 banners purchased, including three Revolutionary War Patriots from the Elsberry area, James Cannon, Bethuel Riggs and Joseph Sitton. The Troy Chapter, NSDAR, wishes to thank the Elsberry City Hall secretary and workers for all their help with this effort!
