This historic Liberty Sister, the first of the Boy Scouts’ “Strengthen the Arm of Liberty” replicas to be erected, stands proudly at the intersection of Meyer Boulevard and Prospect Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, near the Research College of Nursing. Dedicated on Sunday, November 20, 1949, the Kansas City statue was selected as the inaugural site to honor Jack P. Whitaker, past president of the Boy Scouts of America, and the visionary behind the nationwide replica program. Location confirmed and documented by 2024–2026 MSSDAR State Regent Dr. Lisa Parks.
